preflop Analysis
87s is a standard BB defend versus the small button open. We have excellent price and a suited, connected hand that realizes well despite playing out of position.
Defend and check normally, call the flop stab with the combo draw, then size the turn value bet larger and never fold the straight to the shove.

Checking is the main line with this powerful but unmade combo draw. It preserves our checking range and lets BU continue betting their missed overcards and high-card hands rather than folding them to a lead.
Calling is preferred after the small stab. Our draw has far more than the equity required, while a check-raise folds out much of the air and weaker high-card range that can keep betting later.
Betting our straight is correct and should generally use a slightly larger medium size, around 17.9BB. We are extracting from overpairs and top pair, while building a pot before difficult river cards arrive.
This is a mandatory call against the shove. The price requires only about 40% equity, and our straight is ahead of the large portion of Villain's jam range made up of two pair, sets, and heart draws; raising only removes the hands paying us.
