Shoving turn with pure ace-high after getting called on the flop over-bluffs into a condensed, pair-heavy range; checking and often giving up is higher EV with this exact combo. **Ranges:** After calling flop, BU holds a lot of top pair, overpairs and medium pairs like QQ, AA, TT that now beat us and rarely fold, plus some heart draws; our hand is near the very bottom with almost no clean outs. **Math:** SPR is under 1, but that alone doesn’t justify jamming — when a large share of villain’s range is made hands that call off (Qx, overpairs, strong draws), our shove risks 66BB to fold out mostly worse ace-high and a few underpairs. **Plan:** With this combo we should mostly check, let BU stab their bluffs and thin value, and be ready to fold; save turn shoves for strong value and for bluffs that at least have equity (like strong heart draws or gutshots) or better blockers. --- > **Takeaway:** At low SPR in 4-bet pots, don’t auto-jam turn with pure air into a range full of pairs — check and give up with your true bottom instead.
