After the flop checks through, we must lead. The Jd is a great card for us as it connects with CO's broadway range, allowing us to get paid by hands like AJ or KJ. **Ranges:** CO's check-back on the flop caps them slightly, but they still have plenty of Jx hands like AJ, KJ, and QJ that will now call a lead. We also need to charge their spade draws and straight draws like 65 or 86. **Sizing:** A medium sizing of ~75% pot (3.8BB) is excellent here. It builds the pot effectively while remaining small enough to keep their middle pocket pairs and weaker Jx combos in the hand. **Plan:** On most river bricks, we are looking to bet large or even overbet to maximize value from their remaining one-pair hands. --- > **Takeaway:** When the preflop raiser checks back a wet flop, take the lead on the turn with your premium value hands to prevent the action from checking through again.
