Checking back is the highest EV play after SB checks. The board pairing the 7 doesn't change much, but checking ensures we realize our equity and keep the pot manageable with a marginal value hand.
Checking back the river is correct. The King is a scare card that hits the SB's range of overcards (Kx) and we have plenty of showdown value to just take the pot down without risking a check-raise. **Ranges:** SB has many Kx combos like KJo or KTs that checked the turn and improved on the river. By checking, we win against their missed straight draws and weaker pairs while losing the minimum to their improved hands. **Board:** The Ks is a significant overcard.
