Folding is the preferred move here. While we have an underpair and a backdoor spade draw, the board texture heavily favors the Small Blind's range and their large sizing makes continuing difficult. **Ranges:** The SB has a significant range advantage on this J-T-6 texture, as it hits their broadway-heavy opening range perfectly. Our 55 is essentially at the bottom of our continuing range, as we have many better pairs and draws to call with. **Board:** This is a very wet and connected board. Almost any turn card—spades, broadway cards, or middle connectors—will either complete draws or provide the SB with more equity to continue barreling, making it hard for us to realize equity. **Math:** Facing a ~40% pot bet, we need about 28% equity to call. While we technically have enough raw equity, our "realizable" equity is much lower because we will be forced to fold on many turns when the SB continues their aggression. --- > **Takeaway:** On high-card, connected boards, small underpairs lose most of their value and should be folded to significant pressure.
