Turn is where the postflop mistake happens — with top pair and SPR ~1.1, solver wants us to mostly check and sometimes just rip, while our smallish bet reopens the betting without leveraging our stack.
Note: Betting small on the turn is the worst of both worlds: we don’t jam to deny equity or extract full value, and we don’t check to control pot and bluff‑catch — we induce raises from a range that now has us in bad shape.
Once we bet and get raised, calling off with top pair given 2.2:1 pot odds is defensible — we only need ~31% equity and BU can still have overpairs, worse Jx turned into a bluff, and club/draw semi‑bluffs.
