Folding is the most frequent and highest EV play. Despite the small bet size, our hand has almost no way to improve and will struggle to realize any equity on later streets. **Ranges:** UTG+1 has a massive range advantage with all the AA, KK, AK, and AQ combos. Our 55 is effectively a bluff-catcher that loses to almost all of their value and even some of their semi-bluffs like QJ or JT that have massive overcard equity. **Math:** We are getting 4:1, needing 20% equity to call. While we technically have ~30% raw equity, our "realizable" equity is much lower because we are out of position and will be forced to fold to most turn barrels. **Plan:** On this specific High-High-Low texture, we should only continue with pairs that have better connectivity or backdoors. 55 is at the very bottom of our range and serves no purpose as a call. --- > **Takeaway:** Don't feel obligated to call small bets with small pairs on boards that perfectly hit the aggressor's range; if you don't have a set or a strong draw, just let it go.
