Flop Analysis
Betting small is the preferred play here. We hold a massive equity advantage (68%) and our hand has excellent multi-street potential with both a gutshot and a backdoor flush draw. **Ranges:** We have a significant nut advantage with all sets (QQ, JJ, 88) and overpairs (AA, KK) that the BB lacks after just calling preflop. BB's range is condensed into mid-pairs and suited connectors that struggle to continue against consistent pressure. **Blockers:** Holding the As is crucial as it blocks the nut flush draw, making it harder for the BB to check-raise us as a semi-bluff. The Th also blocks the nut straight (KT), reducing the number of ways the BB can have the current nuts. **Sizing:** A small 33% pot sizing (1.5BB) forces the BB to defend wide with marginal hands while allowing us to realize our equity cheaply. On such a wet board, this sizing puts their weak Jx and 8x in a difficult spot without over-committing our stack. --- > **Takeaway:** When you hold a massive range advantage on a wet board, use small c-bets to deny equity and leverage your nut advantage.
