Flop Analysis
Flopping bottom set is a dream scenario. We have a massive range advantage on this King-high board and should start building the pot immediately.
When we flop a monster set and improve to quads, we must prioritize building the pot early rather than checking back turns.

Checking back here is a significant missed opportunity to extract value from a range that is now picking up draws. **Ranges:** BB has many Kx, 6x, and now diamond draws or gutshots (53s, 32s) that will call a bet. By checking, we allow Villain to realize equity for free or potentially check-back river with hands that would have called a turn bet. **Board:** The 2d is relatively blank but does introduce a flush draw. This makes betting even more important to charge the draws that BB will naturally defend. **Plan:** We want to play for stacks. Checking back makes it much harder to get the remaining 30+ BBs into the middle on the river unless the board gets very specific. --- > **Takeaway:** Don't slowplay sets on boards where Villain has plenty of 'sticky' second-best hands and draws to call with.
Note: Checking back turn loses massive value against King-high hands and new draws; we should bet large to set up a river shove.
The river 4s is the absolute deck-crusher, giving us quads. When BB leads into us, raising is mandatory to get the rest of the chips in. **Ranges:** BB's lead represents a polarized range—either a slowplayed straight (35), a King that thinks it's good, or a complete bluff. Since we hold quads, we block almost nothing of their calling range except exactly 64s or 42s. **Sizing:** Our raise size is effectively an all-in given the remaining stacks. We want to maximize value from Kx or any 6-high straight that BB cannot find a fold with. **Math:** With an SPR of ~1, we are fully committed. There is no merit to just calling here; we must raise to capitalize on our 100% equity. --- > **Takeaway:** When you hit the absolute nuts on the river and face a lead, raise for maximum value—never just flat.
BB's 3-bet is essentially a gift. We have the stone cold nuts (quads) and calling the remaining few chips is a formality to close out the hand.
