Folding is the correct play despite the small bet size. Our hand is essentially a bluff-catcher with almost no way to improve to the best hand on later streets. **Ranges:** UTG has a massive advantage with all the sets (KK, TT, 22) and top pairs (AK, KQ). Our range is condensed and capped, making it difficult to defend wide. **Board:** This texture is very static; with no flush draws and limited straight draws, our 44 is unlikely to be ahead of UTG's semi-bluffs like QJ or AJ. **Math:** We need ~23% equity to call, and while we technically have ~32%, our poor equity realization OOP makes calling a losing proposition over the long term. --- > **Takeaway:** Don't feel obligated to call small bets with small pocket pairs on boards with two overcards; you'll rarely realize your equity.
