Checking is significantly better than betting here. The board has paired and remains highly connected, meaning many of the draws BB called with on the flop have now improved to straights or trips.
Note: Stabbing here is risky; the board texture heavily favors the BB's calling range, and checking allows us to realize our equity more safely.
