Checking is the preferred play here. While we have a strong second pair, checking allows us to realize equity more safely and prevents us from being blown off our hand by a check-raise on a semi-wet board.
Note: Betting is acceptable but checking is higher EV; JJ functions better as a high-equity check-call to protect your range on a Q-high board.
