Flop Analysis
Folding is the correct play. We have no pair and no draws on a board that connects well with the Small Blind's wide opening range. **Ranges:** SB has a significant range advantage here, holding more overpairs (QQ+) and strong top pairs (AJ, KJ) that we simply cannot contest with K-high. **Math:** Although the pot odds are excellent (4.3:1), our 23% raw equity is difficult to realize because we have no backdoor flush potential and very few turn cards that allow us to continue profitably. **Blockers:** Holding the Kd is actually slightly negative as it unblocks all of SB's spade flush draws and straight draws that they might be betting as bluffs. --- > **Takeaway:** Don't feel obligated to defend just because you have a King; without a draw or a pair, folding to a c-bet is the standard high-EV play.
