Flop Analysis
Checking back is the pure strategy here. While we have second pair, the Ace-high board texture heavily favors the preflop caller's range which contains many Ax hands.
Check back second pair on Ace-high boards to realize equity and protect your checking range.
Checking back is the pure strategy here. While we have second pair, the Ace-high board texture heavily favors the preflop caller's range which contains many Ax hands.
Checking back again is preferred, though a small probe bet is a minor mix. Our hand is a classic bluff-catcher that doesn't need to build a massive pot on a paired board.
Note: Betting here is slightly thin; checking back allows us to realize equity and induces bluffs from missed spade draws on the river.
