Flop Analysis
Checking is mandatory. This board heavily favors the 4-bettor's range, which contains all the sets (KK, 99) and top-tier top pairs (AK).
In 4-bet pots, medium-strength pairs should act as bluff-catchers; jamming into a range that crushes us is a significant error.

Jamming here is a massive strategic error. We turn a high-equity bluff-catcher into a bluff that only gets called by hands that have us crushed. **Ranges:** The Button's 4-bet range is dense with AK, AA, and KK. By shoving, we allow them to fold their bluffs (like AQo or A5s) while they never fold the Kings or better that dominate our second pair. **Math:** We are getting 3.6:1 pot odds, meaning we only need about 22% equity to call. Our hand has roughly 44% equity against their betting range, making a call extremely profitable compared to the high-variance shove. **Plan:** We should call and evaluate the turn. If the board remains static, we can continue to bluff-catch; if an Ace or a heart completes, we can check-fold knowing we've controlled the pot size. --- > **Takeaway:** When you hold a medium-strength hand in a high-SPR pot, your goal is to reach showdown cheaply, not to force folds from hands that are already beating you.
Note: Shoving is a massive overplay; you fold out all the bluffs you beat and only get called by Kings or better.
