Flop Analysis
Checking is correct multiway: as the preflop caller on a low coordinated board, we don’t lead range here, and our gutshot plus backdoor flush draw is a natural check that can comfortably continue versus bets.
With a strong draw facing a tiny donk in a multiway pot, we should mostly call and realize equity instead of blowing up the pot with a huge raise.

Facing a small turn donk with a combo draw in a 3‑way pot, calling is far better; the big raise size is the core mistake because it overplays 8‑high and polarizes us into a bluff against strong, sticky ranges.
Note: Raising huge over a small multiway donk with a draw is a sizable error — we should mostly call and use our excellent pot odds and equity instead of isolating ourselves versus strong hands.
Folding river is good: this runout smashes value (including many flushes and any pair), we have pure air with bad blockers, and even with a great price we almost never win when SB donks into a massive pot.
