Deep, multiway and with trips, we can overlimp pre and comfortably call down versus reasonable turn and river sizings.

Turn Analysis

Calling the small turn bet with trips is the right idea — we’re very strong but don’t want to bloat the pot multiway versus ranges that already contain full houses. **Ranges:** After BB’s flop lead and CO’s call, both can have strong Kx, some 6x, and all full houses, plus draws; our trips sit near the top of our range but are not invulnerable. **Board:** The paired, two‑tone board with an extra low card added keeps full houses and draws in play, so equity is more concentrated in nutted hands than on a dry board. **Math:** We’re getting 3:1 and need ~25% equity; trips easily clear that threshold even if CO is somewhat value‑heavy, so folding would give up too much. --- > **Takeaway:** With a strong but non‑nut hand in a multiway pot and good odds, default to calling rather than raising into ranges that already contain boats.

River Analysis

River call versus CO’s medium sizing is justified — trips function as a strong bluff‑catcher against a range that still contains plenty of Kx and some bluffs, while very few straights exist. **Ranges:** CO limp‑pre, call‑flop, bet‑turn, bet‑river points to Kx, better 6x and full houses, but also some missed draws and random floats; the only straight is 3‑5, which is a very small part of a typical limp range, so we mostly lose to full houses and better 6x and beat all Kx. **Board:** The river low card doesn’t change the top of the range much: full houses remain, quads remain, no flush completes, and the texture is largely the same strength‑ordering as on the turn. **Math:** Getting about 2.3:1 we need ~30% equity; unless CO almost never value‑bets Kx and almost never bluffs, our trips will exceed that equity, so folding would be an over‑fold. --- > **Takeaway:** When a blank river comes and you hold trips getting good odds, expect enough Kx and bluffs in villain’s range to justify a call unless they are extremely underbluffy.
