Iso-raising pre and value-betting top pair on a low-SPR board is the right idea; we could just tighten up our sizings a bit.

Flop Analysis

Value-betting top pair here is very good — we have a strong range advantage after iso-raising and should pressure UTG’s weaker Ax and draws rather than slow-playing. **Board:** High A–K texture is excellent for our tight iso range and rough for UTG’s limp-call range, so we’re allowed to bet very frequently for value and protection versus weaker Ax, Kx, small pairs, and heart draws. **Sizing:** With SPR ~2.25 we’re already in a territory where stacks can easily go in by river; solver-style play prefers a smaller c‑bet (around 1/3–1/2 pot) on such a favorable board to keep dominated hands in and still charge draws, whereas 65% pot starts to fold out some worse hands we’d like to keep. --- > **Takeaway:** Bet for value with top pair on ace-high boards after iso-raising, but favor a smaller c-bet size to keep worse hands in while still building the pot.

Note: Betting is correct, but the 65% pot c-bet is larger than needed on a very favorable board; a smaller sizing prints more EV by keeping dominated hands in.
