By raising to roughly 3.3BB, we force their draws (like AsXs or 76s) to pay a premium and define their hand immediately. **SPR:** With only ~18BB to start the hand, we are looking for ways to get the money in with top pair. By shoving, we punish their semi-bluffs (spade draws, QT) and get called by worse Kings (KT, K7s) that might have checked back the river otherwise. We do lose to KJ and sets, but we are too high in our range to fold. **Blockers:** Holding the 9s is a minor benefit as it blocks some of Villain's straight-draw bluffs like T9s, though it also blocks some hands we want them to be bluffing with. --- > **Takeaway:** When the SPR is low (~1.3), shoving top pair on the turn is a high-frequency play to realize your equity and prevent being outdrawn on the river.
