Flop Analysis
Checking is the preferred play here. While we have the nut flush draw, this board texture slightly favors the Button's calling range, which contains more mid-pairs and 9x combos.
While hitting the nut flush is the goal, checking the river is more profitable than shoving to let Villain bluff their missed draws.

Easy call. We are getting 3:1 pot odds and have roughly 35% raw equity to hit our flush by the river, not counting our Ace-high showdown value or overcard outs.
The board pairing the nine is generally better for the preflop caller, but it doesn't change our plan. We check to continue realizing our equity.
We must continue calling. Despite the board pairing, our nut flush draw is too strong to fold, especially with the SPR dropping to a level where we are committed to seeing a river. **Math:** We need 25% equity to call profitably. Against a range that includes 86s, 65s, and various air bluffs that the Button should be barreling, our A-high and flush draw easily clear this threshold. **Board:** The paired nine increases the likelihood of full houses, but the Button's range is still wide enough with semi-bluffs that we cannot fold the nut draw. --- > **Takeaway:** When the SPR is low and you hold the nut draw, you are rarely folding to a single bet on the turn.
We hit the nuts, but leading all-in is a strategic error. By checking, we allow the Button to shove their missed straight draws (like 65s or 86s) or value-bet their 9x hands that might fold to a lead. **Ranges:** The Button's range is polarized between very strong hands (trips, boats) and total air. A lead allows them to play perfectly by folding the air and only calling with hands that have us beat or are forced to call. **Sizing:** With an SPR of 0.46, the remaining chips are almost certainly going in if we check. Checking protects our entire range and maximizes the chance of getting the Button's last 11BB when they are bluffing. --- > **Takeaway:** On the river, when the draw completes and the SPR is low, check to let a polarized opponent bluff off their remaining stack.
Note: Leading the river is lower EV than checking; you want to induce bluffs from Villain's missed straight draws rather than forcing them to fold.
