Once we get this flop and face a donk with SPR under 1, jamming top pair is very solid — we’re well ahead of UTG’s betting range, we deny equity from draws and overcards, and folding would be a huge overfold. **Board:** This is a low, semi-wet texture: we have top pair, there is a club flush draw and various straight draws available, so letting UTG see turns cheaply with hands like overcards + clubs is bad for us at such low SPR. **Math:** After UTG bets, we are getting great direct odds to continue, and by shoving ~10.9BB into 21.3BB total, we force UTG to continue only with hands that are doing well versus top pair; meanwhile all their one-club hands, overcards, and weaker tens/6x either pay us or fold out their equity. **Plan:** Calling would leave an SPR near 0.3 and awkward turn spots on many scare cards; shoving now simplifies the tree, realizes our equity immediately, and punishes UTG’s wide donk range. --- > **Takeaway:** With top pair and SPR under 1 facing a bet, prefer getting the money in rather than slow-playing and letting draws realize equity.
