Flop Analysis
Checking range is completely fine — with a nut flush draw our hand is strong but also fits well into a checking strategy that protects the check range and realizes equity multiway.
Preflop call is loose but defensible; the real leak is folding a strong nut flush draw to a single flop barrel when we have plenty of equity and good pot odds.

Folding the nut flush draw to one flop bet is the big leak — we have strong equity, a slight range advantage, and enough stack depth that realizing our draw is very profitable. **Math:** We’re getting ~1.8:1 (need ~35.8% equity) and our hand has ~71–72% equity versus HJ’s c-betting range; that’s nearly double what we need, so folding burns a huge amount of EV. **SPR:** With SPR ~2.6 after calling, future streets are manageable — we can comfortably continue on many turns and even apply pressure when we hit. **Ranges:** Our range still contains overpairs, sets, and all strong draws, while HJ has many overpairs/strong top pairs plus bluffs; AsTs sits near the top of our continuing range as a nut draw that also unblocks HJ’s value (we don’t hold a pair card). **Board:** Semi-wet texture favors the caller slightly in nut terms — we have all suited Axs/Kxs floats and more combo-draws; folding this high-equity draw means our continuing range becomes too pair-heavy and easy to play against. **Plan:** Call the flop c-bet and continue on most turns: we can call again on bricks versus reasonable sizings, semi-bluff raise some turns that improve our equity further, and comfortably stack off when the flush completes. --- > **Takeaway:** When pot odds plus equity are this favorable, nut flush draws should virtually never be folded to a single flop barrel.
Note: Folding a nut flush draw with ~72% equity versus villain’s range when only ~36% is required is a major overfold that gives up a very profitable spot.
