Iso-raising 98cc is fine, calling the flop donk with an OESD is reasonable, but once we hit the straight on the turn, we should just call the small bet instead of ripping it in.

Flop Analysis

Flop comes Jc Th 3s rainbow, no flush possible, and we’ve got 9-high with an OESD plus a backdoor club draw. BB leads 3BB, UTG calls, and we’re getting about 6.5:1, needing ~13% equity; 98cc has roughly 48% vs a typical donk/call range, so calling is totally reasonable. The solver mix between folding and calling here is just a heads-up reference, but in a multiway pot we still want to continue with this kind of draw and strong range advantage.

Turn Analysis

Turn 7d completes our straight on J-T-3-7, and BB bets 5BB into 27.5BB. We’re heads-up now, getting about 5.5:1 and needing ~15% equity; with a made straight and SPR ~3.2, we’re way ahead of that. The big mistake is jamming 93BB over the small bet—BB will mostly continue with Jx/Tx/3x and some sets, while folding out all the weaker hands we’d love to get paid by. Just calling the 5BB bet keeps the pot manageable and lets BB keep bluffing or value-owning themselves.

Note: Ripping 93BB over a small turn bet with a strong made hand is too big; calling the 5BB bet keeps the pot under control and lets BB continue with worse hands.
