The turn bluff-raise and then calling off with just A-high and a blocker is the big leak; either call flop/turn small or just fold the turn.

Flop Analysis

Flop 3c5cJh, SB fires big into us and we have an overcard, gutshot to the wheel, and the nut club blocker. Getting about 2.4:1 with some backdoor potential, continuing is reasonable; folding is too tight versus a limp-stab range that still has plenty of air and worse draws.

Turn Analysis

Turn 7c is terrible for us: it completes the front-door flush and connects well with SB’s suited-limp range, while our actual hand is still just A-high with a gutter and a blocker. Facing 2.8bb into 7.6bb we’re getting a good price to just call or even fold exploitatively, but raising to 8.3bb here commits SB and mostly runs into strong value that won’t fold.

Note: The turn raise as a bluff with A-high and a nut club blocker is poorly structured at this stack depth; it over-commits versus a range that is very strong on a completed flush board and doesn’t generate enough folds.

Turn Analysis

Once SB 3-bets the turn to 16bb over our raise on this four-liner/flush board, their range is extremely value-heavy: strong flushes, sets, and strong Jx at minimum. Our A-high plus gutshot and blocker just doesn’t realize enough equity here; we need around 33% and realistically have much less, so calling off is a big overreach.

Note: Calling the turn 3-bet shove with only A-high, a gutshot, and the nut club blocker is a clear overcall; we simply don’t have the equity versus such a strong, polarized range.
