Raise or fold pre, don’t overbluff rivers that massively favor villain’s range when we have poor blockers.

Flop Analysis

Flop 7c4h6s, BB donks small into 4 players and HJ calls – that’s already a lot of strength. T9 has a double gutshot, but facing two ranges in a limped pot we’re getting great immediate odds to just call; raising builds a big pot versus mostly made hands and strong draws. The semibluff raise isn’t terrible, but it’s ambitious in a multiway spot where fold equity is lower than heads‑up.

Note: Raising the small donk multiway with a marginal draw over a very cheap call probably overestimates fold equity; calling IP with strong odds is safer and closer to theory.

Turn Analysis

Turn 2c bricks our draw and brings the front-door club draw; after BB check-calls the flop raise, his range is now quite strong (pairs, sets, good draws). With SPR ~2.4 and no club, barreling turns us into a big bluff versus a range that doesn’t fold enough. Checking back to realize what equity we have and give up when we miss is the right adjustment.

River Analysis

River 3c completes both the front-door flush and the 5x straights, while BB has check-called a raise on 7c4h6s and then check-called river. That line is heavily weighted to made hands, including a lot of flushes and strong 7x/overpairs. T9 with no club is one of our worst bluff candidates – we don’t block any value and don’t meaningfully block his natural bluffs – so firing 15bb here is overbluffing into a value-heavy range.

Note: Bluffing 15bb on a river that heavily favors villain’s range with T9 no club is too optimistic; we should usually give up after checking back the turn.
