Checking flop then firing small on the king turn into a capped limp-check range is a solid, low-risk bluff line.
Flop Analysis
On T T 2 two-tone in a limped, heads-up pot, we are out of position and ranges are wide. Leading here with total air is rarely necessary; checking range and letting BU stab or check back is standard. With Q6h on this texture, checking keeps our strategy simple and avoids building a pot on a board that heavily favors Tx holdings.
Turn Analysis
After flop goes x/x and the K hits, BU’s range is pretty capped: a lot of ace-high, small pairs, some weak Tx/2x. That K interacts well with our perceived range from BB, so a small delayed stab 1 into 2.5 works great. We credibly represent Kx/TX while risking very little, and we saw immediate fold equity, which is exactly the point of this bet.
