With 1.4BB in a limped blind battle and top pair on a paired board, just rip it in rather than finesse small bets.

Flop Analysis

Flop 8c 4s 4h, we hit top pair on a paired board vs a limp/check. With SPR<1, this is a clear get-it-in spot: SB has plenty of worse 8x, 4x, random overcards and floats. Betting 0.4BB works, but practically we don't need sizing complexity here – ripping the full 1.4BB on the flop is simpler and pressures all his random holdings.

Note: With top pair and SPR<1, betting small instead of jamming leaves unnecessary chips behind; shoving flop is cleaner and slightly higher EV.

Turn Analysis

Turn Qc after SB calls, pot is 5.9BB and we have 1BB left; once SB checks again, jamming is mandatory. We’re committed against his range, and the Qc doesn't change that much – we still crush his air and weaker pairs and deny equity to overcards and random clubs. SB folding here is a great result for us.
