Open AKo, call the 3-bet, raise small on K-high, check turn, and call the river with two overcards getting 3:1.

Flop Analysis

Flop Kd 9c 2s is very good for our opening range; with top pair/top kicker we want to build a pot. Raising is the right idea, but a smaller size (around 2/3 pot) is preferred over 30bb into 34.5bb, as it still pressures BB’s weaker Kx and draws without bloating the pot unnecessarily.

Note: Flop raise size is unnecessarily large; a smaller raise around 2/3 pot achieves similar pressure while risking less.

Turn Analysis

Turn 7h is a complete brick and BB checks. Checking back is a solid decision—betting into a capped range doesn’t fold out many hands that continue, and we still have a very strong showdown hand. By checking, we keep the pot under control and avoid facing a check-raise.

River Analysis

River 4c, BB leads 49 into 143.5; we’re getting about 3:1 and need roughly 25% equity. AKo still has two overcards to a range that contains a lot of 9x and missed draws, so calling is standard. Shoving would be overkill and mostly get called by better, while folding would give up too much equity.
